The final against Yui Kamiji (JAP, n°2) quickly turned to the advantage (6/2 6/0) of a Dutchwoman in full confidence on clay, who had no intention of letting herself be trapped like in Melbourne where she had to work hard to come back from a set down.

With this victory at Porte d’Auteuil, Diede De Groot follows in the footsteps of Esther Vergeer, whose exceptional records (21 Grand Slam titles, 470 consecutive victories) could soon be overturned.
