ABOUT THE FRO
Founded in 2017, the French Riviera Open has become one of the most influential wheelchair tennis tournaments in the world.
As an ITF Super Series event, it brings together the global elite each year in a unique setting — the heart of the Mouratoglou Academy — with a media and digital presence that makes it one of the most visible para sport events on the circuit.
But the FRO is much more than a sporting event.
It’s a socially committed initiative, where over 1,000 young people from the Région Sud, along with our partner companies and their teams, take part in immersive experiences to better understand disability through sport.
In 2025, the adventure grew even stronger:
● A third large-scale job dating event, organised with Agefiph
● Over 500 students welcomed on site
● Concrete actions bridging sport, employment, and society
A world-class tournament, a social mission… and a growing community year after year.

After winning on clay in 2023, the Argentinian champion triumphed again on hard courts in 2025, overcoming a spirited Stéphane Houdet in a thrilling final. Just days after narrowly missing the US Open title, this victory confirms his strong late-season form and lifts him back to world No.3.

In Biot, the Dutch star claimed her sixth French Riviera Open title (2017, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) and her first Super Series singles trophy in 16 months. After a long break due to injury, she returned in style, defeating the world’s top two players with authority. Her message is clear: she’s back, and ready to reclaim the world No.1 spot in 2026.

Sam Schröder, solid as ever.
Runner-up at the US Open, the Dutch quad star dominated in Biot without dropping a single set, claiming his third French Riviera Open crown (2018, 2022, 2025). The Paris 2024 Paralympic silver medallist reaffirms his place as one of the most consistent and dangerous players on the international stage.
